Electrochromic Windows for Office Space

Electrochromic (EC) windows dynamically adjust their tint to control the amount of light, glare, and heat they allow into a room. To assess whether tenants would accept EC windows in buildings with glass curtain-wall façades, researchers from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) evaluated EC technology at two test-bed installations. At both locations occupants preferred EC windows over the existing low-e windows.
