Chromogenic windows tint based on outside temperature and brightness, or by automated building controls.

In a 2014, a Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) evaluation at the Denver Federal Center found chromogenic windows significantly reduced heat gain over the baseline low-e window, reducing annual HVAC cooling electricity use by 10%.
