There will be two exams given in this course: a midterm exam and a final exam. Both exams will be composed of one essay written over the assorted topics covered in the course. Students will complete the essays in their own time and will not be required to take the exams in the testing center.

The exams in this course are designed to allow students to demonstrate mastery of the assigned materials and are not considered “research papers.” Students should synthesize and analyze the materials assigned in the Weekly Checklists in D2L (the textbook, Author Office Hour Videos, and supplements); outside resources are not to be included the exams. Essays that rely on outside resources will earn and automatic zero for the exam.

While it is encouraged that students use the course resources at their disposal to complete the exams, receiving direct assistance from other people for the content of the response is not allowed and will be considered a form of Academic Dishonesty.
