Mission Statement
With all of the current changes in health care, the role of preventive medicine alongside surgery and public health are becoming essential and the involvement of our future physicians and surgeons is critical. The mission statement of the APHA is to protect all Americans, their families and their communities from preventable, serious health threats while striving to assure community-based disease prevention. As students, we have genuine and credible interest in patient care and education and would like to continue our training in public health and research while passing on our knowledge to fellow students, teachers and community members. We would like to give Temple a voice for public health while working to educate our patients and community on public health services and personal health problems they may be facing. Our primary goal is to educate the public on public health issues through research and emphasis on prevention and protection through basic medical knowledge.
