Club Tier and Budget
How much money does my club have?
Annual tier budgets (per academic year):
Tier 1: $295 — 1 meeting per semester (2/year)
Tier 2: $590 — 2 meetings per semester (4/year)
Tier 3: $885 — 3 meetings per semester (6/year)
For your current balance, contact Diana Atar. You can also track it as you submit requests during the semester.
How many meetings does my club need to have
Tier 1: One meeting each semester, TWO each year
Tier 2: Two meetings each semester, FOUR each year
Tier 3: Three meetings each semester, SIX each year
What is my club’s tier?
Contact Grace Washington Brown.
Can my club increase its tier?
Yes. If you hold more meetings than required over the year, contact the SGA President-Elect to request an increase. You may need to give a short presentation for an SGA approval vote.
How can my club lose a tier?
Missing more than 3 SGA meetings (even if you have a proxy)
Not holding the required number of club events (e.g., Tier 3 = 6 per year or 3 per semester)
Monopoly
What is a monopoly?
Each club may run a unique fundraiser/item that doesn’t overlap with other clubs. To keep it, you must run it each academic year. If you skip a year, you lose the monopoly and another club can claim it.
Where can I find the list of monopolies of each club?
SGA website → Club Resources
How can I apply for a new monopoly?
Applications open twice a year: December and May/June. Apply via the Google form on the SGA website → Club Resources.
I held my monopoly (fundraiser/event/merch). What next?
Log it using the Google form on the SGA website → Club Resources, so your club keeps the monopoly. If you don’t log it you will lose the monopoly
