Thrive:

THRIVE is a youth intervention program for those who have interaction with law enforcement, substance abuse, and/or mental health needs. Youth are referred to THRIVE by Tehama County Probation. Once enrolled, they are paired with a Youth Development Specialist, a Wellness and Behavior Intervention Technician, and a School Based Mental Health and Wellness Clinician.

We work collaboratively with the youth, their supportive adults, and law enforcement to identify and address the students' needs in order to mitigate the impact of involvement with law enforcement, substance abuse, and/or mental health concerns in an effort to reduce recidivism. For youth that have been incarcerated in Tehama County Juvenile Hall and are returning to Tehama County schools, THRIVE supports schools, students, and families in the transition between the two systems.

This involves working alongside the Transition Specialist at Tehama Oaks,  a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and all of the above mentioned support staff for non-adjudicated youth to promote restorative and trauma informed practices for a more successful transition.
