River Cities Counseling Inc. operates an 18-week Youth Diversion Program with Project Restore.   Funding for Project Restore comes from the BSCC under Proposition 47.

The Youth Diversion Program is for Youth 12-18 years of age that have been cited, arrested, or charged with a crime and also have a need for mental health counseling. Each youth is interviewed by a Case Coordinator and a Mental Health Therapist.  If a student qualifies, they are then matched with a mentor/advocate that meets with them weekly for 18 weeks.  The youth also meet weekly with a mental health therapist and are monitored weekly by their assigned case coordinator.

Upon successful completion of the 18-week diversion program the Probation officer or referring law enforcement agency is notified that the youth has completed their requirements.  The record for their crime is then removed, expunged, or sealed.
