Before Camp:

Guide Camp Schedule:
Camp Hours: 9:30 - 15:00
Snack Break: 11:00 - 11:30 (11:15 – 11:30 on Day 1 due to Computational Assessment)
Lunch: 12:30 - 13:30 (allow 60 mins)
Afternoon Break: 14:15 - 14:30 (optional) – double check with Marta
First Day:
Arrive at 9:00 to get your equipment set up and to help students with their setup if necessary.
Wear a TechSpark hoodie or t-shirt. If you don't have one, please ask your camp manager to provide one.
All classes start Day 1 together in one classroom, to allow for student and instructor introductions and the morning Kahoot.
Please ask students to take the Student Computational Evaluation. Note this is taken on first & last day of camp. Make sure the kids select the correct option eg. 'Start of Camp/Lessons' or 'End of Camp/Lessons'.
During Camp:
Monitor your class progress closely and ask your camp manager for additional resources or support if necessary.
Last Day:
Sign certificates and complete Student Feedback Reports by lunchtime.
Ask students to do Student Surveys (links below) after morning break on the last day of camps (i.e. between 11:30 – 12:30)
Please ask students to take the Student Computational Evaluation again. This allows us to map their progress.
Welcome parents and deliver certificates and feedback forms during the last hour of each camp.
Camp Close:
Upon camp close, support staff in returning classrooms to their original format and help throw away any left over materials
Submit your LEM Salary Request Form which is under Administrative resources on the LEMAN page.
Logistics:
1. School laptops will be available for younger students to use during the camp. Teens are expected to bring their own laptops, however we will have spare devices should they need to borrow one. Device login credentials will be provided by the school.
2. Borrowed laptops must be handed into the IT office at the end of each day for charging overnight; they can be labelled with the student’s name on a Post-It if necessary.
3. Please place any rubbish in the appropriate bin or recycling at the front of classroom before your leave each afternoon. They will be taken care of by the building admin.
4. In case of any emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances, we trust you to use your judgement based on the nature of the emergency and contact your camp manager.
Example: Allergic Reactions(parents are asked to inform us of any medical conditions and sever allergies in advance, this will be marked on the student list and applicable instructions & medication provided by the parent in advance.
Fire/Earthquate etc. - Common sense rules apply, follow the building evacuation policy
