Each pair should research Sustainable Development Goals 12 ("Responsible Consumption and Production") and 13 ("Climate Action").
Also, they should study the importance of recycling and how to use recycled materials and garbage in artistic creation.
This collaborative artistic pair work with assemblages and then point light to create projected shadows.
Each student should keep a diary or use an app on their phone to record the types and amounts of trash they generate and dispose of throughout the week.
This includes organic waste, plastics, paper, cans, among others.
To create the Pictures of Garbage series, Vik Muniz worked with the catadores, or pickers, from the world’s largest landfill located in Brazil.

Pairs should discuss and plan the concept for their sustainable artwork.
They should define the message they wish to convey and how they will use recycled materials to express that message.
They can share ideas and proposals through digital media or virtual collaboration platforms.
Romanian artist Andra Ursuţa incorporates everyday objects salvaged trash, and props into her artworks.
Each pair will begin to design and build their artwork using the recycled materials and garbage collected.
It can be a 2D, 3D, or 4D project in any media.
Regular communication between the pairs will be encouraged to resolve doubts and share progress in the creative process.

Once the works are nearly complete, pairs will conduct rehearsals to ensure that the online presentation will be effective.
They should explore how to take advantage of the virtual environment to enhance the visual experience and message delivery.

Each pair will present their sustainable artwork to the rest of the group (5 to 10 minutes).
All artworks will be submitted to an online gallery for virtual exhibition.

Once you finish, go to the assigned space on Padlet, post an image of your project, and give a short audio description explaining your process and concept behind the artwork.
