OGU es una aplicación para teléfonos móviles nacida para acabar con el derroche de comida. Con la utilización de OGU, las tiendas y supermercados ya no lanzarán más comida. OGU garantiza una colaboración ciudadana que permite no tirar la comida y hacerlo llegar a quienes lo necesitan. Los actores principales son los comercios que venden comida (cafeterías o tiendas), ciudadanos voluntarios y centros de recogida de alimentos o comedores sociales. El objetivo principal de la aplicación es evitar que estos comercios tiren la comida que no se ha podido vender. Lo que harán es indicar en la aplicación cuánto y qué comida les ha sobrado. Entonces un centro de recogida de alimentos avisará si le hace falta esta comida o no. El rol de los voluntarios es llevar la comida desde el comercio hasta el centro de recogida.

OGU is an application for mobile phones born to finish with food waste. Thanks to OGU, grocery stores and supermarkets won’t throw away any food. OGU ensures a civic collaboration that allows not to waste food and makes it arrive to those who need it the most. The main stakeholders are the food stores, voluntary citizens and food collection and distribution centers or community kitchens. The main goal of the app is avoiding the stores throwing the food which they haven’t been able to sell. What they will do is telling the app which food was left over. Then a food collection center will tell if it needs that food or not. The role of the voluntary citizen is to take the food from the store to the center.
