Financial supports available to you as you transition to the corps
2023 CM Financial Support & Transition Overview
Teach For America wants to make your transition to the corps as seamless as possible.
Whether you are transitioning from college or another career, already live in Houston or are moving from another city or state, there are costs associated with joining Teach For America that you are responsible for.
We encourage you to review the expected costs guide, attend at least one community session with The Beans, plan out your budget using our transitional budget template or The Beans template, review your financial supports and determine your financial plan based on these factors. Your plan may include saving, determining if you have access to financial support via your personal support network, or leveraging additional financial support resources from Teach For America.
By providing baseline transitional financial support and need-based opportunities, we hope to assist you in meeting your essential living needs, so that you can focus on training and student impact.
For details regarding financial supports and transitions timelines and processes, please thoroughly read through the different opportunities in the financial supports overview and financial transition overview.
