The IAN (Imagination & Authenticity for Nevada) Center will be a joyful, safe space that prepares young people for the future. This Summer, a Design Fellowship is bringing together 10-15 Junior Designers to learn, imagine, and ultimately design that place of opportunity for young people in Nevada. At the end of the three weeks, Designers will share their vision for the future of learning & living for young people in Nevada. This summer we are also partnering with Positively Arts- an organization dedicated to building social-emotional and life skills through engaging project-based learning activities. Through them, Junior Designers will also build web series or music videos while honing their design skills.
As you'll see below, one of our goals is to co-design the IAN Center. This summer, we will use the Teach For America Las Vegas office as our temporary Center headquarters. Here's a glimpse of the space you'll be working out of most of the days.
The launch team spent 2021-2022 doing preliminary research and learning to develop the IAN Center draft concept. You can see more about that in the below deck. The responsibility of the design team (aka you!) will be to co-design what this will actually look like in Las Vegas. Don't anchor too much in the deck because we want your vision to bring this to life.
