Goodside health

Here at Westpark we are glad to offer Telehealth services through Goodside Health (GSH). It gives the School Nurse the ability to have your sick student seen quickly and tested on-site for Strep, COVID and Flu A&B. If the student tests positive for any of these illnesses they will need to be picked up from school by a parent or guardian and the GSH provider will send any medications they might need to the pharmacy of your choice. This way you, the parent, have less to worry about - you can pick your student up, swing by the pharmacy to get their meds and get straight home for the child to rest and feel better! If the provider determines the student is able to stay at school (i.e. they are fever free and negative for any of the above listed illnesses) they can get medications in the clinic to help make them comfortable (i.e. Tylenol or Motrin to help with headache or sore throat) and we can get them back to class! This allows the student to not miss as much instruction time and also improves learning outcomes because they are back in class comfortably, ready to learn!!

*The School Nurse will always call parents BEFORE initiating a Telehealth visit, even if the child is already registered for GSH services. Parents always have the option to decline the offer for a virtual visit. If a student is not registered the Nurse can send a registration link directly to the parent's phone or computer.
