GOLD N' BLUES Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Students in Gold n' Blues will focus on style, jazz repertoire, improvisation skills, and singing tight harmonies as well as developing improv solos and a personal style. This ensemble also has a rhythm section (drum set, piano, bass, guitar). Gold n' Blues musicians participate in the Fall Concert, Winter Concert, Spring Concert, and a competitive festival in May. This year the vocal jazz ensemble will participate in a collaboration with TCU’s Vocal Jazz Department!

CONGRATULATIONS on an outstanding performance this year! The Gold 'n Blues from I.M. Terrell Academy was awarded 2nd place in the 3A/4A division. Recognized outstanding musicians included: Meirah Koenig, M'Kayla Rice, Lyla Vanderstoel, Alex Santos, Arabella Cox, Amber Scott, and Micaiah Simmons.

Auditions are Monday, August 25th @ 4:00pm in the Choir Room

This is an "open audition", which means we will be singing in front of one another. The audition will start with singing the audition cut of "Give Me the Simple Life" together, then we will listen to everyone's solos.

Attend the Vocal Jazz Auditions in the Choir Room on Monday, Aug. 25th from 4:00-5:00pm. We will sing the audition cut together at 4:00pm (be on time) , then hear your other songs.
