Ms.Bing carefully aligned her formative assessments to provide meaningful data as her students continue on their path to mastering the summative assessment! As they prepare for the full length literary analysis, Ms. Bing's students practice developing analytical paragraphs with different genres every day.

Mr. Desso

Mr. Desso gave clear expectations for annotating poetry. He was explicit about the content students should be annotating for by giving them a checklist of requirements. He removed any ambiguities by modeling a 'think aloud' and annotating for literary devices! He also modeled how to add comments in Google doc to create annotations.

Ms. Brown immediately implemented the virtual jigsaw after the Region 11 training on Thursday!

Her facilitation of this virtual engagement strategy resulted in AP students learning from each other about the different sections of the Constitution!

Ms. Angwenyi, Mr. Guyton, Mr. Stinchfield, Mr. Tucker, Ms. Gayle, and Ms. Reeves worked collaboratively to assess the written compositions from STAAR English Benchmark testing and submitted the scores to ADQ! This data is critical in informing our next steps as we prepare for STAAR. Go team!!!
