No one likes fees and we are no exception, but band is an extracurricular activity and although the school corporation provides some funding, they do not provide enough. Students are responsible for their band fees. Payment plans and fundraising will be available. 

If a family has a financial situation that will make it difficult to cover the cost of band, please contact Ms. Castillo at Anna.Castillo@fwisd.org and we will work with you to find a way for your child to participate. We NEVER want a child to miss out for financial reasons.

Instrumental Rental Fee 

$80 a year ($40 a semester)

• • • Any student using a school owned instrument will be charged an instrument usage fee. Personal owned or store rented instrument do not play this fee

Band Shirt

$10 Band T-Shirt

• • • All students who participate in the annual fundraiser at the beginning of the year will receive their Band T-shirt for FREE! If there is enough interest in placing an order for Band hoodies we will send information on how to order one and the cost.

Supplies

• • • Student will need to purchase the needed supplies for class. All students will need a binder with 20 sheet protectors. Beginner Band students will need to purchase the book Essential Elements 2000 for their instrument. All Percussion students should have their own pair of Vic Firth SD1 general drum sticks.

Additional Fees

Addition fees will be charged throughout the year for events and trips. Fundraising will be available to help cover the cost of these events.
