Ms. Castillo is on her 21st year of teaching and the 11th year as J.P. Elder Middle School's Director of Bands. Under her direction, the J.P. Elder band has had many achievements from individuals and ensembles. Ms. Castillo is a graduate of Texas A&M University - Kingsville.
Ms. Castillo is a member of Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Band Master's Association.
During her free time Ms. Castillo enjoy hunting, fishing, photography, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.
