FWISD New Teacher Academy Session Resources

Below is the New Teacher Technology Foundations presentation for the August 5th, New Teacher Academy training session. The presentation contains all new teacher technology resource links.

New FWISD teachers needing the Technology Foundations training after Thursday, August 5th, can access all of the NTTF information below in our self-paced sections.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need a FWISD Google Account to be able to complete these modules.

Welcome to the New Teacher Technology Foundations Academy!

During the Academy, you will review and complete 5 different sections that will set a foundation for integrating technology into your teaching practices in Fort Worth ISD.

Participants will learn:

How to access and utilize the FWISD App Portal (Classlink)
How to take attendance, record grades, and submit discipline referrals in Focus
How to navigate and troubleshoot classroom technology, such as Promethean boards and Chromebooks
How to get assistance by contacting the Campus Technology Liaison or Digital Learning Specialist, submitting a Footprint, or accessing the resources on the FWISD website
To identify and implement best practices for blended learning
About the digital tools available to FWISD teachers

To Get Started:

Each section is estimated to take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Sections are organized to begin with introductory information including a description and guiding questions. Content will be displayed in a variety of ways including videos, text, GIFs and other images, simulations, presentations, etc.
