Can I operate and troubleshoot the technology in my classroom?
Read through the Promethean Troubleshooting presentation in order to review the types of boards, setup, and helpful hints to prevent common troubleshooting issues. Use the arrows that look like the image below at the bottom left corner of the slideshow to navigate between slides.
Some campuses have Promethean Flat Panels in each classroom. The Quick Reference Guide below will help you navigate and use the Promethean Flat Panel.
Note: While the Flat Panels are often referred to as "digital white boards," it is important to note that they should not be treated as traditional white boards. Please do NOT write on the Promethean Boards with dry erase markers, do not clean them with rubbing alcohol, and do not tape posters or other signs to them.

Promethean boards are compatible with the ActivInspire software. ActivInspire is a lesson delivery software that allows you to design and present flipcharts to your class.
Your school-issued laptop will likely come with ActivInspire already loaded. If not, you can download it from the Software Center.
You can also use your Promethean board with other software and programs.

All teachers are issued a FWISD laptop. Most teacher devices are Lenovo laptops.
All students can be issued a FWISD device. Most students are provided with a Chromebook.
