Knowing from school teachers and students that English is a subject of which support is most in need, and HKDSE candidates have had to continue examination preparations via online lessons during the school suspension, the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) students have helped to prepare top tips for HKDSE English Examination.
The HKU PGDE students also share their experience on how they prepared for various DSE papers in a series of "Top Tips for HKDSE English Exam" videos. This video series was initiated by Ms Tanya Kempston, Lecturer of the Academic Unit of Teacher Education and Learning Leadership, of the Faculty. The videos are concise yet full of useful tips on how to tackle different types of questions, encouragement from the teachers-to-be and so forth. Please watch the videos here:
The SUP and the “DSE 27771112” centre of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) launched a real-time online tutoring programme for HKDSE candidates. HKU students attending undergraduate and PGDE teacher training programmes provided real-time online tutoring to answer questions from HKDSE candidates.
A data bank of three Q&A sessions was created for this programme for HKDSE candidates, where you will find experience and skills in answering different questions in Papers 1-3.
