Rules and Regulations of Tests and Examinations

Before tests and examinations

1. Students from S1 to S6 should clear their lockers and drawers the day before the half-yearly examination or final examination.

During tests and examinations

2. Candidates should write their name, class and class number on their answer scripts after the invigilator has announced the start of the test/examination.

3. Candidates should bring their own stationery (HB pencils, erasers, highlighters, rulers, pencil sharpeners and authorized electronic calculators etc.) to all tests/examinations. Stationery of any kind will not be supplied at the test/examination venues. All items (including electronic calculators) brought to the test/examination venues are subject to inspection by invigilators.

4. Sharing, transferring, exchanging, borrowing and/or lending of, and trading in materials of any kind (including but not limited to stationery, and electronic calculators) between candidates during the examination are NOT allowed.

5. Candidates should not bring any mobile phones to school at all times unless permission is granted by the school. Candidates should switch off and power off all communication devices which produce sound of any kind, such as alarm watches before entering the test/examination venue.

6. If candidates need to go to the toilet, they must raise their hand to seek the permission from the invigilator and complete the record form. They should not have any communication devices and notes with them when they go to the toilet. Those who are in breach of this may risk a mark penalty.

7. In case candidates need any other help, they should first inform the invigilator and seek the permission from the invigilator before taking any action.

At the end of tests and examinations

8. Once the invigilator announces the end of the test/examination, candidates should stop writing and/or erasing any writing whatsoever immediately. Subsequent requests for special consideration in filling in the box(es)/personal particulars on the answer sheets/ question booklets, filling in, erasing/correcting any writing whatsoever on the answer sheets will NOT be entertained after the announcement of the end of the examination.

9. Following the announcement of the end of the examination, candidates should remain silent and seated until all examination materials have been collected and the invigilators have told them that they may leave.

Make up assessment

10. No make-up assessment will be arranged for those students who are absent.

Candidates who are in breach of the rules above may risk disciplinary and/or a mark penalty.
