Located in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, the GSF (Global Smart Farm) project operates a pilot site aimed at coastal watershed development. Since 2021, this site has been part of the project conducted under the auspices of KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency). Its primary objectives include the development of coastal cities for tourism, environmental preservation, economic growth, and marine environmental management. The management of this site falls under the responsibility of the Ba Ria Vung Tau Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
At this location, the Korea Expert Center (KEC) provides technical support and advisory services in the establishment of an online automatic monitoring system for marine water quality. The KEC contributes its expertise to this specific sector. By leveraging IoT sensors, big data, and AI technologies, the pilot site conducts testing and applications in the field of marine water quality and environmental management.
As the fourth pilot site of the GSF project, this site serves as a platform to showcase the advancements in marine water quality monitoring and environmental management. Through the integration of innovative technologies and collaborative efforts between Vietnam and Korea, the pilot site in Vung Tau City aims to contribute to the sustainable development of coastal areas, preservation of marine ecosystems, and promotion of responsible tourism.
