PHYS-ED

What if my child has a medical condition?

If your child has a medical condition, please inform the school and their Phys-Ed. teacher as soon as possible. We will work with you to ensure your child’s safety and success in class. In most cases, we can provide modifications or alternative activities so they can still participate to the best of their ability.

ATHLETICS

How does transportation work for away games?

Public transportation is usually arranged for the team to get there. Athletes are expected to get home on their own. Parents/guardians may sometimes be asked to assist with transportation for certain events.

When are tryouts?

Tryouts will usually occur at the beginning of each sports season (Fall: September, Winter: November, Spring: March). Be sure to keep an eye out for posters around the school, social media posts, and morning announcements as that is the most common way of communicating tryouts. YMAC

Is YMAC open to all grades?

YMAC is open to students in grades 10-12. Grade 9-11 students may apply for the council through a written, video, and interview process and if chosen, will begin their role in the council in the following fall.
