WE RAISED $7000 THIS YEAR!
WHAT/WHY: Terry Fox Run to support and raise funds for cancer research.
WHEN: Thurs. September 18th, 2025
WHERE: In our community neighbourhood (map route will be updated)
WHO: All students at York Mills are encouraged to participate (Gr. 12 Fitness & Leadership Classes, along with York Mills Athletic Council will be organizing this event)
HOW: Students are advised to wear comfortable shoes and athletic attire for the event (dress appropriately for weather conditions).
PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE: Parents/guardians must fill out the 511 K Form, Submit a Donation, and complete the Google Form that was EMAIL to ALL STUDENTS ON THE @student.tdsb.on.ca School Email.
GOAL FOR FUNDS RAISED: $2400 as a school - the cut off date for donations is on Wed. September 25th (instructions on how to raise funds are below)

All students are encouraged to raise money for this worthy cause. Every little bit counts :)
1) Students can get donations directly to our school account (share this link with friends and family): YM Terry Fox Donations
2) Students can raise money by creating their own Personal Page on the York Mills Terry Fox Website. The individual amount will go towards our entire school fundraising. Let's try and beat last year's record total of $7,400!

Whoever donates will receive a tax receipt through e-mail via the Terry Fox Foundation

TERRY FOX ROUTE
York Mills Athletic Council members will be spread out strategically along the route situated at stop signs and road crossings.
Participating students are advised to stay on the sidewalk and be mindful of local traffic.
The route is approximately ~2.5km in total (~30 mins to walk)
