Have you always wanted to be involved in the performing arts and assemblies but are shy about being on stage? Are you interested in technical theatre and what goes on behind the scenes at shows? Are you a hardworking and dedicated person, looking for the right club?
If you answered yes, Stage Crew sounds like where you should be!!! Stage Crew is close-knit, collaborative club that is in charge of running all shows and events in the West Humber auditorium! There may also be a future opportunity to run permitted events as a paid student-employee of the TDSB.
We thrive on challenges and new opportunities. However, it is also a demanding club and the requirements for joining can be quite stringent and require quite a bit of commitment and a high level of professionalism. It is not for everyone...
Meetings are MONDAYS at lunch - if you have conflicting events on Mondays, this may not be the club for you.
Stage Crew is involved in many different events, including some evening and weekend venues. If you are not available to help out with events outside of regular school hours, this may not be the club for you.
Stage Crew training is short and intense, filled with details and requirements of every position we are responsible for. You will need to attend all training sessions to be considered.
There is a written test at the end of training. You will need to receive a minimum of 75% to pass.
You will be required to purchase a uniform t-shirt ($8 each) and wear it every time you run an event.
Your first year will be an audition/interview for becoming an official TDSB student employee. TDSB stage crew employees run events for outside permits on weekends and weekday evenings for hourly wages.
If you have considered all of these and are still interested in joining, please fill out the form below!
Applications will be accepted from Monday September 6th 2025, 9am until Friday September 24th 2025 11:55pm
