About Us

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Team, as part of the Special Education and Inclusion Department, provides a variety of services to students with hearing differences.  These supports are delivered by Specialist Teachers of Students Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ToDHH).

In addition to our  Specialist Teachers, our team includes an Audiologist, a Speech/Language Pathologist, and a Social Worker. Members of the Resource Team may provide assessments, consultations and/or support to students and school teams.

Please use the menus at the top to learn more about us.

Lambton Kingsway JS students receiving support from the D/HH team collected used hearing aids to have repaired (as needed) and used for kids in need, both locally and internationally!

They partnered with Union Hearing, Gina Oh from Sound Advice and Tracy Saunders from Sound Solutions Audiology Clinics to do hearing aid fittings for this project!

How can you help?

Thank you for bringing in your used hearing aids to your ToDHH. If you still have hearing aids that you would like to donate to a child in need, please contact Jamie.boone@tdsb.on.ca .  You can follow the journey of the Helping Kids Hear, and There in the video below:
