A warm welcome from the Spectrum School Council!!
Welcome to Spectrum! We are very happy you will be joining our special learning community and would like to take this opportunity to let you know a little bit about who we are and what we do.
Spectrum’s School Council is made up of Spectrum parents and supported by Spectrum staff. Our purpose is to work together to support the school and provide an enriching experience for all Spectrum students.
Spectrum has a small but active parent community. Parent volunteering is part of what makes the Spectrum experience unique. Through volunteering, parents help make events successful and strengthen the community. There are various kinds of events that take place throughout the year for you and your family to look forward to, including our Arts Café, Entertainment Night, Pizza Lunches, Fundraisers, Graduation and more.
Your School Council also raises money for things that enhance student experience while at Spectrum. We fund various field trips, classroom technology, and programs, to name just a few.
At Spectrum we value community, so we ensure that every student is financially able to participate in every event, including the out of town excursions for gr.7 and gr.8 students.
Spectrum School Council wishes you every success at Spectrum and looks forward to having you and your family join our community.
The first School Council Meeting is scheduled on October 9th along with Curriculum night
We hope to see many of the grade 7 parents there.
