First Day

We hope you are as excited as we are! We understand this is a transition for you, so we will try to make this as smooth as possible.

Tuesday , September 3rd , 2024, the first day of school for Students.

 Students are encouraged to arrive to school located at 50 Davisville Avenue by 9:05 am. Students will enter the school at 9:10 am. Classes start from 9:15am. Entry will be from Door # 5 in the playground. Spectrum teachers will be there to greet you and take you to your homeroom. 

 On this day, you will meet all your teachers and classmates. You will receive your locker assignment, so please bring your combination lock. You will be required to share your locker combination with your child's homeroom teacher.  We recommend Dudley brand. Practice opening your locks over the summer. Save your receipts, as many locks stop working within the first month.

 Dismissal for lunch will be at 11:45 am. Bring a litter-less lunch for your first week. You will meet the lunchroom supervisor in your classroom, The supervisor will let you know about the rules and regulations regarding lunchtime for Spectrum.

 Afternoon entry is at 12:40 pm; classes begin at 12:45 pm and finish at 3:25 pm.

 **If you use a scooter, skateboard, longboard, or bicycle, you must dismount before entering the school property. Please lock your items in any one of the bike lock areas.

*** If you have a cell phone, it may be used before and after school.  At all other times including the lunch hour ( if you stay at school for lunch), it must be turned off and stored in your locker. These items are not permitted in class or in the lunchroom, unless permission is given by a staff member.
