Lunch at Spectrum

At the beginning of the year, you will be asked to sign a lunchroom information form. Please Note that students will not be allowed to go out for lunch  for first 2 weeks till we have  the forms  ready and set up.

There will be three options for lunch from which to choose.

1. Always go off school property for the entire lunch time (11:45 am - 12:45 pm). Please know if you choose this option, child will be unsupervised during this time .

2. Always eat lunch at school from Monday to Friday under the supervision of lunchroom supervisor.

3. Eat lunch in the school from Monday to Thursday and has parent permission to go offsite on the last day of every week (Friday OR Thursday if Friday is a PA day). If offsite, please note the students will be unsupervised for the whole lunch hour. 

Many Spectrum students have typically chosen option 2 or 3. Over the years many have chosen to go offsite for lunch on the last day of the week. It can be a fun way to spend lunch time with your friends. Supervision is only provide on site.

Eco School: Since Davisville/Spectrum has achieved platinum status as an Eco School, for three consecutive years. We must all continue to do our part to reduce our carbon footprint, and to reduce garbage output. For this reason, please bring reusable, washable containers and bottles to school and recycle what you can.

Water: Students may bring reusable, unbreakable water bottles to keep with them during the day.

*Note: If your child has permission to leave school property during lunch time, it is expected he/she stay offsite for the entire hour. We do not allow students to purchase food during the lunch break and then return to school to eat it, unless there is an unavoidable circumstance. In that case we do need a written permission from parent in advance.

** Note: Students are not permitted to order food or beverages for delivery.
