FAQ
How long is each session? Each session lasts 1 hour. There is a 15 minute break scheduled in between sessions so students have time to get settled and logged into the computer, or logged out and packed up.
Do the students receive anything? Yes! Each student who participates in the Hour of Code will receive a certificate from code.org. Certificates will be given to the teacher before they leave to distribute to the students once they have returned to school.
I have a special needs class. Can you accommodate us? Yes we can! Please let us know in advance and we will be sure to have enough mentors in the room to assist each of your students through the hour of code activity.
When can I register? Registration opens about 1 month ahead of Computer Science Education Week.
Who can register? Any TDSB teacher with a grade 1 through 8 class can register.
How do I register? Click the link at the top of the page for the registration form. (If there is no link it is likely outside of the registration period.)
Where is the registration form? If there is no link to the form on this site it is likely outside of the registration period.
When I try to open the registration form I get an error message saying Permission Denied. Your browser is likely logged in with another Google account. Go to www.google.com and click the icon in the top right corner and select Sign Out, then sign in with your TDSB staff account.
Who can attend? Any class grades 1 through 8. Currently this event only available for TDSB schools.
