Students have the opportunity to take certifications through various avenues at Runnymede C.I. Some of these certifications are offered through the Specialist High Skills Major program, and others are offered to high achieving students in specific courses.
Students in our Specialist High Skills Major program are able to obtain the following certifications:
- Leadership
- Customer Service
- Counterfeit Money Detection
- Digital Lighting Fundamentals
- Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship
- First Aid and CPR
Student enrolled in our co-operative education program will receive the following certifications:
- Workplace Safety
- WHMIS

- a Certiport Testing Center as designated by Pearson Vue
As such we are able to offer many industry recognized certifications, such as:
IT Essentials covers basic hardware and networking as well as the career skills needed for an IT jobs. Plus, you’ll work with advanced simulation tools, and have many hands-on labs to really hone your troubleshooting skills and practice what you learn!
MTA - Introduction to Programming Using Java
MTA certifications are a great place to start if you would like to get into the technology field. They address a wide spectrum of fundamental technical concepts, assess and validate core technical knowledge, and enhance technical credibility.
MOS certification is for those looking to demonstrate proficiency in one or more Office programs.
