welcome to gr. 11 weight fit

The Grade 11 Weight fit course is a personal fitness course. Throughout the year the students will engage in a variety of exercise programs in the weight room and beyond. The focus is on developing overall physical fitness.

The students will also develop an understanding of;

  • The components of fitness

  • Fitness assessments

  • Safety procedures in a weight room environment

  • Terminology

  • Nutrition and performance enhancing drugs

  • Fitness Planning

  • Mental Health and Healthy relationships


Students will explore the benefits of the following types of fitness training:

  • Circuit Training

  • Light to Heavy Workouts

  • Heavy to Light Workouts

  • Plyometrics
