Who Are We?

We are very excited that you have chosen to become a member of the Monarch Park community!

Some quick facts:

• In 2022-2023 MPC will have approximately 980 students

• We are a semestered school

• The school was built in 1964 with only 2 floors. The third floor was added 3 years later.

• In addition to a full secondary school, Monarch Park is also home to an Independent Living Program, a Mobility Resource Program, an IB Program and SOLE Alternative School.

• We have a pool and a dome

• Our school colours are Green and Gold

• Our school mascot is Valour the Lion

• We offer a wide variety of sport teams including the Monarch Ducks (our swim team)

• We run a Homework Hangout where you can get your homework done after school or get some help with your school work.

• Monarch Park students participate in the Waterloo Math Contests and the Beaver Computing Challenge every year

• Monarch Park has a strong DECA team
