At L'Amoreaux, our goal is to foster a love of learning and curiosity by connecting curriculum learning and skill development to real world experiences. We provide students with the opportunity to develop core skills, promote higher order thinking and engage in the experience of learning through experiments, projects, field trips, and several different types of activities. We strive for student success while preparing students well for post-secondary.

L'Amoreaux is also proud to host a robotics team. Since 2007, our team, 2198 - Paradigm Shift Robotics, has been participating in VEX and FIRST Robotics Challenges. Every year, in January, a new set of game rules is released and we have 2 months to design and build a robot to compete in the challenges. Members train and get experience in programming, Computer Aided Design (CAD), fabrication and manufacturing, electrical, business and fundraising, outreach, and media. Visit our website to learn more. The club runs after school from September to June and is open to all grades.

Below are the different pathways through science. All students take a grade 9 science course and a grade 10 science course. After that, they have the option to take chemistry, biology or physics in the college or university pathways. If you have any questions about science or robotics at L'Amoreaux, do not hesitate to contact me.
