Students learn that animals have distinct characteristics as they grow and change throughout their life cycle. They explore animals in the STEAM yard and begin to see the interconnectedness of animals and the natural environment. Students also build an understanding of the effects humans have on animals and learn how they can care for and respect animals and their habitats.
