What is Co-Op?

Cooperative Education is a highly immersive form of experiential learning. Students can use communication technologies (virtual experiences), or they can be involved in a combination of on-site and virtual experiences (blended experiences) to acquire and refine skills, knowledge and habits of mind that support education and career/life planning and foster positive attitudes towards learning that help students become independent, lifelong learners.

Cooperative Education at Harbord is a 2  or 4-credit course. Applying for co-op will also provide you with the opportunity to join the SHSM Non-Profit Program and gain certifications and experience in the field of interest.
