The schoolyard is an integral part of our Davisville JPS learning environment. It offers key learning opportunities for creativity, social and emotional development, and problem solving to name a few.
To ensure that our schoolyard continues to be a safe space, rough play and games involving significant physical contact are not appropriate on our school property at any time.
Baseball bats, hockey sticks, tennis racquets, frisbees, roller blades, and other items of similar nature that require uncrowded areas for safe use are not to be brought to school and used during regular school hours. Additionally, electronic games/equipment toy weapons and trading cards are not to be brought to school.
SUGGESTED PLAY ITEMS:
Soccer balls and mush balls (may be used in the school playing field)
Basketballs (may be used in the basketball area)
Skipping ropes
Hula hoops
Kindly note: articles of value and large sums of money should be kept at home. The school will not assume responsibility for lost, stolen or broken cellphones, toys, balls or other special items brought from home.
