Grade 10 Canadian History Since WWI (CHC 2D8)
Our History course at Greenwood explores social, economic, and political developments and events and their impact on the lives of different groups in Canada since 1914. It also emphasizes essential English communication skills. Students will develop oral classroom skills, writing skills, reading strategies, and expand their vocabulary.
Students learn about the most important battles during World War I through playing simulation games.
Students engaged in creative projects which allows them to use their critical thinking skills and history knowledge. These are Trench Letters written and created by the students in a way that looks authentic which allows the students to have a direct learning experience while learning about trench warfare.
