DOCUMENTATION AND CITATIONS
Why should I document my sources?
It is essential to provide information about the sources used in the preparation of your work and research. Proper documentation allows the writer and reader to:
verify the accuracy of the work.
(re)locate and read works in their original context.
avoid plagiarism.
demonstrates support for academic research
What should I cite and reference?
All sources used in research must be cited. If you use anything - ideas, words, data, images, graphics, videos, etc. - that come from someone else you MUST provide an in-text citation for that source and include the full reference in your Works Cited list (MLA) or Reference List (APA) (Regina University Library).
MLA and APA formatting are the citation formats used most commonly in classes here at BPCI:

*Always check with the teacher regarding citation format and style for each assignment.
