Introducing: The Education Promise cross-Canada engagement
This multi-city engagement marks the next phase of our bold, five-year initiative, The Education Promise. We believe that public education is one of Canada’s most powerful tools for nation-building, that public schools are the upstream policy solution to many of our challenges, and that only by working together across the country and across sectors can we build the kind of movement for public education that we need. To make that happen, we're so excited to launch two streams of engagement:
Promise of Public Education event series: A series of free, public panels in eight major cities from January to June 2026. These events will explore how our schools can tackle urgent challenges, from economic resilience to climate readiness.
Regional engagements: We are heading to (at least!) 11 cities across seven provinces to meet with government, school system leaders, civil society, youth, students, parents, business leaders, and more. That input will directly shape the development of our pan-Canadian Education Action Plan, which will be released publicly in fall 2026.
Join us for the kickoff event in Toronto
The tour begins on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at George Brown Polytechnic in Toronto. This launch event will focus on how public schools prepare future-ready citizens and strengthen our social and democratic fabric.
