Professional Growth (Self-Directed)

Reflector Badge

Level 1 - Any self-directed learning or teacher-created innovation that DOES NOT involve artifacts being created by students. Must include links to evidence. Ex: Observing a colleague, allowing a colleague to observe you, an informal meet up or one-on-one chat with a colleague about tech, learning about and innovating your job with a new tech tool.

Level 2 - Being a guest on our podcast.

Level 3 - Presenting a Developer Academy ($50 is earned if the Developer Academy is off-contract hours)

What you get:

Student Learning (Self-Directed)

Tactician, Instructor, Architect Badge

Level 1 (two options)

        • Any new teacher-created activity
        • using new technology that you have not submitted as a badge before
        • involves artifacts being created by students
        • Must include links to evidence.

OR

        • Any new teacher-created activity
        • using technology that you have used before
        • involves artifacts being created by students
        • incorporates ONE of the Four C’s of 21st Century Learning.
        • Must include links to evidence.

Level 2

        • Any new teacher-created activity
        • Using technology
        • involves artifacts being created by students
        • incorporates TWO or THREE of the Four C’s of 21st Century Learning.
        • Must include links to evidence.

Level 3

        • NEW teacher-created activity
        • using technology
        • involves artifacts being created by students
        • incorporates CRITICAL THINKING and at least one other of the Four C’s of 21st Century Learning.
        • Must include links to evidence.

Developer Academy (Coach/Colleague-Led)

Awarded for attending any of the Academy Sessions led by a colleague or Instructional Technology Coaches. CPDUs are awarded based on amount of time spent in the session. The information learned in the Academy Session can be used to earn any of the badges listed above. A $20 stipend is included if the Developer Academy is attended off-contract hours.
