2019 Update

#PD Perks

We partnered with the Troy Chamber of Commerce and revealed the fruits of that partnership in the form of #PDPerks last year. #PDPerks continues in the 19-20 school year. You earn points for each PD experience, and with every 1,500 points you earn a $10 Gift Certificate which can be used at any of over 100 Troy Chamber of Commerce Members! The top point leader will be awarded a prize package, and those who reach 3,000 points will be put in a drawing for another prize package.

**NEW FOR 2019***

We will be drawing for a Holiday Basket this holiday season.

Badge Changes

We've modified the T.R.I.A.D. badges in the 2019 Update of #TRIADvances. We feel that these changes will simplify the process and make it easier for our teachers to know where to start when pursuing badge-work.

Here are the changes that we've made.

Reflector (Professional Development Badge | Self-Directed) - This is the badge that you will apply for when you are using technology for your own professional development. This badge does not deal with student learning. Possible ways to earn this badge include observing a colleague, allowing a colleague to observe you, an informal meet up or one-on-one chat with a colleague about tech, learning about and innovating your job with a new tech tool, being a guest on our podcast, or presenting a Developer Academy.

Tactician, Instructor, Architect (Student-Learning | Self-Directed) - These three badges deal with student learning and require the use of technology and student artifacts and uses the 4 C's of 21st Century Learning for the badge levels.

Developer (Developer Academy | Coach-Led) - The developer badge is the badge you will receive when attending one of the coach-led sessions from Adam, Mike, Sarah Phelps, Sarah Brokering, Jessica Green, or a colleague.

Levels of the T,I,A Badges
