Research interest

Our group develops bioanalytical methods using mass spectrometry. The projects include:

Testing of narcotics

–The development of bioanalytical tests of amphetamine, ketamine, and opiates, the most commonly abused drugs in Taiwan. The tests will be applied in different samples, such as urine, plasma, saliva, and exhaled breath.

Aging

–Quantification of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) in human plasma. We will evaluate the efficiency of derivatization for AGEs using LC-MS/MS.

Metabolomics

–Quantification of indole-3-acetic acid biosynthesis pathway in bacteria

–Identification of drug-resistant strains of bacteria using metabolomic strategy

Environment

–The development of analytical assays for determining endocrine-disruptor compounds and antibiotics in soil
