Undergraduate

University graduates from this department can take the National Licensure Examination and work as laboratory medicine scientists after passing it. The examination covers six sections :

1. Clinical physiology and pathology

2. Clinical hematology and blood bank science

3. Medical molecular diagnostics and clinical microscopy

4. Basic and clinical microbiology

5. Basic and clinical biochemistry

6. Clinical serology and virology


The passing rate of examinees taking National Licensure Examination for laboratory medicine scientist, among our graduating seniors, has been much higher than the national average during the past several years, and it gets better every year.

Twenty percent to 30% of our undergraduate students plan to pursue master’s degrees, so the University provides incentives to facilitate their continuing on to the Master’s Program, and completing their Undergraduate and Master’s Programs in five years.

Graduate

The goal of the Master’s Program aims to equip students with knowledge and skills in laboratory medicine, and assist them to do medical research or prepare for work in the biotechnology industry. Our program focuses on application of the scientific method, which includes analysis of research questions and data, critical reading, presenting scientific papers, and English usage in medical research.
