FAQ Cap & Gown Ordering

Ordering in-person on October 23rd (during both lunches) will save you the online ordering fees! (I'm not totally sure how much the ordering fees are, and Jostens has no control over them, so order in person to save money!) If you are off campus you may bring me your order form and I will submit it for you! I encourage ALL of you to order your cap & gown unit IN-PERSON on October 23rd. If you are ordering other senior merch, you can order that in-person or online.
If you are only ordering the cap, gown & tassel, the in-person total with tax is $63.25 (you do not need to add shipping/handling).

You do not need to order a separate tassel. The tassel to be worn in the graduation ceremony is included with the cap & gown unit.
Cap & Gown Units will ship to Brevard High School toward the beginning of April. We will announce a pick-up date closer to then. Any other senior merch ordered will ship to the address you submitted.

Graduation Practice: TBD Brevard Music Center. PRACTICE IS MANDATORY If you do not show up for practice then you will be removed from the line-up.

Ceremony ~ TBD - Seniors need to arrive no later than 4:30pm It will last approximately 1-1.5 hours.

Attire should be formal. Nice clean clothes, and preferably no jeans, muddy boots, t-shirts etc.… (many pictures of you will be taken on this day so look your best!).

Cap and Gown needs to be kept up with and you need to bring all the pieces. You WILL NOT be allowed to decorate your cap in any way. If you do, it will be replaced with a plain one once you arrive.
Regalia - Transylvania county only recognizes these few honors and awards during the graduation ceremony. These are the only cords/tassels/stoles/or diploma seals to be worn during graduation. No exceptions.

Seating is open to as many guests as you would like to invite. No tickets necessary. Seating is first come first serve and reserving seats with tape, signs, etc is not allowed… If you want to reserve seats you will need a person to accompany them until your party arrives!

Parking is handled by the TCSO. Seniors will arrive early and be parked in a designated area. Guests will be parked nose-to-tail by the Sheriff's Department. Don’t be in a hurry to leave as almost everyone will be parked in a way that makes them blocked in by other cars. We highly suggest carpooling to reduce the amount of traffic and help with arrival and exit times. Handicapped parking and seating is available. Simply tell the officers directing traffic that you require handicap parking and they can assist you from there.

Fees - If you owe any fees, i.e. Chromebook, library, club dues, transcript fees, parking tickets etc… your diploma may be withheld if not paid before graduation.

Chromebook Fees are:

Missing/damaged case = $40

Missing/damaged charger = $40

Broken screen, keyboard damage, port damage, etc = $40 per

Unremoved personal stickers (not their name labels) = $10 per

Non-returned computer = $370
