BIOGRAPHY:
Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Julia Campbell, and I am the 5th grade teacher here at TCPS. On the left, is my fiance, Alan and our two kitties ~ Huitzil (Wetzel) and Xochitl (Sochie).
My pedagogy is discovery-based and project-based learning, In my philosophy, students learn best by doing in order to cultivate a genuine love for learning! I also incorporate American Sign Language into my daily lessons. I fell in love with teaching when I was in kindergarten and I continue to stay in teaching because I love watching students grow throughout the year in their learning and I love how rewarding the profession is when you finally see a student grasp a concept wholeheartedly!
Educationally, I have earned my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and later I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Studies from California State Long Beach. Most recently, I earned Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from California State Dominguez Hills.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time at the beach relaxing, hanging out with my friends, gardening, painting, doing pilates, roller skating, and adventuring around Southern California. Please feel free to give me some of your favorite spots to check out!
