Meet Ms. Dew!

I am so excited to be in my sixth year of teaching first grade at TCPS for the 2025-2026 school year!

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia where I earned a B.S. in Animal Science with a minor in Captive Wild Animal Management in 2016. 

I began my career in education during summer internships at the San Diego Zoo in 2014 and 2015 working with their Education Department. I moved to San Diego permanently in 2016 and worked in the Education Department for three years doing school outreach and on-grounds conservation education programs before deciding to pursue my M.Ed and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at UC San Diego. I graduated from UC San Diego in June 2020 with my M.Ed, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and Elementary Math Education Certificate. 

 I look forward to creating challenging and rewarding classroom experiences that inspire my students and teach them skills for lifelong learning. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and caring for my cat, Leonardo DiCatrio.
