I taught and observed three eighth grade classes of varying ELA skill levels at the middle school of Pace Charter School in Hamilton Township, Trenton, New Jersey. This city-based school was small, consisting of about 240 total students with a student to an average teacher ratio of 12:1. My classes ranged from 12 to 18 students, and ran for about 1 hour and 25 minutes.
