Keeping student and staff information safe is paramount. Always follow district guidelines and FERPA rules to handle data responsibly. As simple rule to live by: don’t put any confidential information into AI tools. Even though some of our tools have security protections, practicing safe digital habits protect your privacy, keep you safe, and make sure information doesn’t end up in the wrong place.

As a Google for Education district, WISD prefers staff and students to utilitze Gemini. Gemini is Google’s powerful generative AI assistant that helps teachers develop ideas, explain concepts, and draft content using natural language prompts. Gemini also produces incredible images that can be used in instruction.
NotebookLM lets staff members upload documents and other resources to get audio and video summaries, insights, graphics, and presentations based on the content uploaded.
Chat GPT and Gemini are large language models (LLMs) with a significant amount of sources. This is similar to asking Google and getting answers from a wide variety of sources.

Summarize an lengthy article or document
