In this activity, you will get to explore documents the ISTE Standards for Education Leaders. In this activity, we'll dig deeper into the ISTE Standards for Education Leaders by creating a pictorial, or visual, representation of key ideas expressed in the standards.

Step 1: Group Up

Step 1: Roll the Dice and Select Area
Divide into 5 groups based on the playing card you select. Roll the digital dice (set it to one die first) to select your group.Group 1 - Equity and Citizenship Advocate
Group 2 - Visionary Planner
Group 3 - Empowering Leader
Group 4 - Systems Designer
Group 5 - Connected Learner
Step 2: Move to Assigned Area
Once you know your group assignment, go to your assigned area.
Step 2: Discuss

Introduce yourself to the group.
Share personal experiences that are aligned to the indicator(s).
Step 3: Draw

On chart paper, draw a picture for these three things:
Benefit - How does the standard benefit your organization?
Barrier - What barriers might exist to accomplishing the indicators?
Summary - How would you sum up the standard?
Don't be afraid to further illustrate key ideas and your group's responses.
Step 4: Record

Pick a spokesperson for your group. You will have 5 minutes to share. Note: You will need to create a Flip account if you don't have one already.
Record your presentation to Flip

Make sure to show your chart.
Make sure you find a quiet spot to record. Can leave the room.
Note: You may want to practice recording to Flipgrid using the front-facing camera and speak in a loud voice. You can leave the room to record.
